Dr. Peterson received his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University. He furthered his education with a graduate degree in biology and chemistry. Following graduation, Dr. Peterson decided to attend medical school at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. He completed his surgical residency at the Univeristy of Florida, Jacksonville where he found a passion for minimally invasive laparscopic surgery.
Work Experience:
In 2015, Dr. Darren Peterson served as an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Texas Tech Department of Surgery. During his time there, he helped establish the Division of Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery at Texas Tech.
