Training Institutes:

Dr. Eric Velazquez received his Executive Master of Business Administration from the Fox Business School at Temple University in Philadelphia. He furthered his education by receiving a medical degree from the Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) in the Dominican Republic. He then went on to complete a general surgery residency at the New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center and at the New York Medical College at Saint Vincent’s Hospital.

Work Experience:

Dr. Eric Velazquez has more than a decade of experience as a minimally invasive bariatric surgeon, most recently serving as medical director of bariatric surgery for Temple Health in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Velazquez, who also served as an Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery at Temple’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine, was named a top doctor in surgery by Philadelphia magazine from 2018 to 2021. In October of 2021, he brought his surgical and clinical expertise to Georgia when he joined Longstreet Clinic’s Center for Weight Management. Dr. Velazquez is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
