Dr. Chae earned his medical degree at McGill University and completed his surgical residency at Rutgers University. He also undertook a surgical fellowship at George Washington University Medical Center and furthered his studies at the University of Pittsburgh and Harvard University/Massachusetts General Hospital.
Work Experience:
Dr. Chae founded Colorado’s first comprehensive laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery program at the University of Colorado in 1998. He has a notable history of teaching and training in laparoscopic weight loss surgery and currently is the head of the University of Colorado bariatric surgery fellowship. In 2015, Dr. Chae introduced innovative advanced Robotic surgery using the DaVinci platform at Sky Ridge Medical Center.
