Surgical and Clinical Expertise:

Advanced laparoscopy, robotic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, general surgery, reflux disease, endoscopy, bariatric surgery procedures to include the gastric bypass, vertical sleeve gastrectomy, and bariatric surgery revisions.

Bariatric Procedures Performed:

Laparoscopic and robotic roux-en-y gastric bypass, vertical sleeve gastrectomy (gastric sleeve), conversion to gastric sleeve, lap band removal, gastric balloon, laparoscopic anti-reflux procedures, and revisions and conversions of previous bariatric procedures.

Credentials:

Board Certified by the American Board of Surgeons, active member and fellow of the American College of Surgeons, active member of American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).

Training Institutes:

Dr. Weaver received his undergraduate degree from Colgate University in New York. He furthered his education at the University Colorado School of Medicine where he graduated with a Medical Degree. Dr. Weaver stayed at the University of Colorado School of Medicine to complete an internship and medical residency. He attended Emory University for his fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery.

Work Experience:

As a Colorado native, Dr. Weaver had a strong pull to move back to his home state. Following graduation from his fellowship program, Dr. Weaver joined the Denver Center for Bariatric Surgery. He currently sees patients at the Rose Medical Center in Denver and at the Boulder office.
