Dr. Michael Snyder is a board-certified bariatric surgeon and the Medical Director at the Bariatric Surgery Center at Rose Medical Center. He is also the Founder and Director of the Denver Center for Bariatric Surgery Foundation. Dr. Snyder has been practicing bariatric surgery since 2002 and has performed over 8,000 operations. He specializes in a range of surgeries, including revisional bariatric surgery and adolescent bariatric surgery, utilizing minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic techniques.

Minimally-invasive bariatric surgery including the gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, and duodenal switch, mini-gastric bypass, one-anastomosis-gastric bypass (OAGB), SADI-loop duodenal switch, adolescent bariatric surgery, robotic bariatric surgery, bypass limb-lengthening procedures, and bariatric revisions.

Board Certified by the American Board of Surgeons, active member and fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, active member of the Society for Advanced Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Training Institutes:
Dr. Snyder received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University. He furthered his education at the University of Miami School of Medicine where he received his medical degree. Dr. Snyder became interested in bariatric surgery during his residency at Oregon Health Sciences University. He went on to complete an American Society for Bariatric Surgery-certified preceptorship and several years later furthered his training at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Snyder has been practicing bariatric surgery since 2002 and currently serves as the Medical Director at the Bariatric Surgery Center at Rose Medical Center and is the Director of the Adolescent Bariatric Surgical Program at the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. Dr. Snyder is the Founder and Director of the Denver Center for Bariatric Surgery Foundation.
