General surgery, advanced laparoscopy, reflux disease, foregut disease, endoscopy, bariatric surgery procedures to include the gastric bypass, vertical sleeve gastrectomy, and duodenal switch.

Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (Gastric Sleeve), Gastric Balloon, and Revisions and conversions of previous bariatric procedures.

Board Certified by the American Board of Surgeons, fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal Canadian College of Surgeons, member of the Society of Advanced Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), fellow of the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgeons (ASMBS).

Training Institutes:

Dr. Gordon earned his MD from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine in 1999 and subsequently completed his general surgery residency at the same institution. After graduation, Dr. Gordon completed his fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Fort Lauderdale.

Work Experience:

Dr. Gordon is affiliated with Tampa Bay Surgical Group of West Florida, with seven office locations in Largo, Clearwater, Safety Harbor, Dunedin, and surrounding areas. Dr. Gordon is on staff at Morton Plant Hospital, Mease Countryside Hospital, Mease Dunedin Hospital, and Largo Medical Center. He is involved in the residency teaching program at Largo Medical Center, educating future surgeons.
