Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (Gastric Sleeve), Duodenal Switch, and Revisions and conversions of previous bariatric procedures.

Credentials:

Board-certified in both general and bariatric surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (FACOS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS).

Training Institutes:

Dr. Fridley completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He went on to receive his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his residency in general surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and pursued a fellowship in bariatric and robotic surgery at the Reading Hospital. His training also included specialized surgical experience at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, enhancing his capabilities in complex surgical care and cancer-related procedures.

Work Experience:

With a diverse background shaped by both military service and clinical practice, Dr. Fridley brings a disciplined, compassionate approach to patient care. In addition to leading his private practice, he holds academic teaching positions and leadership roles in bariatric surgery at two area hospitals. Dr. Fridley currently serves as Treasurer for the ASMBS Florida Chapter.
