Dr. Mai is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced fellowship training in bariatric and robotic surgery. She is also trained in advanced GI and endoscopic procedures, equipping her to handle complex bariatric cases with a minimally invasive approach.

Training Institutes:

Dr. Mai completed her General Surgery Residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. During her training, she had the opportunity to rotate on the surgical oncology service at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where she gained valuable experience in complex surgical cases. She went on to complete a fellowship in Advanced GI/Robotic and Bariatric Surgery at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in New Jersey, where she refined her skills in minimally invasive and metabolic surgery.

As a dedicated bariatric surgeon, Dr. Mai brings a personal and empathetic perspective to her practice. She immigrated from Vietnam with her family following her father’s service in the Air Force, an experience that shaped her appreciation for resilience, wellness, and community. Dr. Mai is passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles and empowering patients through education and evidence-based treatment plans.
